Gartmoreheritage.org has been set up to further the historical and
cultural knowledge base of Gartmore Village and surrounding area. It
can be used as an academic resource, or simply as a stepping stone
to Gartmore's heritage, families or friends.

Digital Archive
The site contains a valuable digital archive,
containing hundreds of family and school photographs, news articles,
artifacts and lots more. It gives a rare insight into the people, places and heritage of Gartmore.
This archive is
sub-divided into easily navigable sections. The site is
regularly updated and the GHS members welcome correspondence and would love to
hear your views.
Because of the
vast quantity of archive material, (regrettably we cannot put everything
in!) there is an option to buy the full archive for
an offer price of £10 (inc. p&p - UK only)

The village of Gartmore is attractively situated in West Stirlingshire in
the South West corner of former Perthshire. The village street climbs steeply to 245 feet above sea
level, giving extensive views east along the Forth valley to Stirling,
south to the Campsie Fells and west to Ben Lomond.
